Saying Good-Bye -- By Meg

Well, on Monday it came time to say good-bye! 

We had so much fun with Granny and Pa! 

Thank you Wise Chapel for our shirts!!

At about 12:30 we headed for the airport.

Checking them in.

Waiting for their plane to arrive.

Then the good-byes.

There they go...

Horses -- By Meg

Last Saturday we traveled out to the place that has horses. 

Most of the missionaries here call it "The Farm". 

It took about 30 minutes to get there with only getting lost once!! 

But we finally found our way!

When we got there the owners introduced us to the "horse's keeper".  

We then walked down to the stable and had to catch the horses because there was some misunderstanding and they let the horse out into the field when they weren't supposed to. 

But we got them and then we took them into this fenced in area to brush them.

And this is......some name that I can't remember! :) Opps!

We had to get them first....

But we finally got them in! Emma and Lilly were SO excited!

An answer to many prayers!

They had to brush them before they put the saddle on.

Let's just say that the mozambican helpers didn't know how to put the saddle on, so we had to figure out! But Lilly was certain that, "Emma knows all about horses!!!"

We figured it out and they didn't slide off the side of the horse!!

It started to rain so we had to stop and dry everything off. We had a great time!!

Emma and Lilly were so happy that they finally go to ride a horse! 

They would go everyday if Mom and Dad would let them!!

A Couple of Visits -- By Meg

In the past week or so we have had a couple of little visits from 

some of our friends here in Nampula.

One week while Dad, Granny, Pa, and I were out teaching Emma and Lilly had some girls from church over to play a little. 

These 2 girls are the pastor's girls. 

Pastor João has 2 girls and 2 boys.

 The oldest is about 16 and his name is Tomotio, his 2 middle are girls and are Emma and Lilly's ages. There names are Rute and Eunissi. 

Then their youngest is about 3 years old on his name is Davi. 

This is mom and her friend Dorca.

We also got to see our guard Julio's new baby boy!!!

 There were a lot of problems with this pregnancy so we were all glad to see a healthy baby! 

It is always custom here that the guests sit in the chairs
but they wanted Mom and Dad to sit in the chair.

Isn't he beautiful!

Look at those sweet shoes! 

Please pray that he will sleep. He sleeps during the day and cries all night! 

Also, pray that he will stay healthy and strong.

Our Trip to Nacala -- By Meg

On Sunday afternoon we headed out to Nacala. 

We spent the night Sunday night and on 

Monday we were out on the water most of the day!

We finally got there about the time the sun was setting!

The next day we set out to have some fun on the water!!

The older people road in the car and the other people walked down.

We sailed on the boat to the other side of the bay, then we got out and swam.

No.....that is not a swimming pool.....it is the OCEAN!!
See Lilly's starfish? Doesn't that look amazing!?!

The kids always collect starfish! 
Then, when it is time to leave......we all get one, we name it, and throw it back in the sea.

After we swam for a couple of hours we went to shore and had a picnic lunch!

 It was SO fun!!

We stayed out a couple more hours, then went back to the Harrell's house.

When we got back there were some fishermen selling their fish.

It was a REALLy good price!

And the fish was mahi-mahi!

So we decided to buy it and cut it up really quick.

You can tell that the fish is fresh by it's eyes!

Uncle Brian knows all about cutting fish!

We finally got ready and left.

It is one of the most beautiful places on earth!

We always LOVE going to Nacala! Thanks Harrell family!! We love you!
