The Teague's -- Part 2 -- By Meg

On the second day that the Teague's were here we wanted to visit some
of the places that we went to often when we lived in Quelimane.
So the first thing we did was go and visit Colane church.
It was Tuesday so they were having reading group.

After we went to Colane we visited our friend Pizano's house. He has a new baby boy and we wanted to see him. But his mom and him were working in the rice fields at that time.

This is Pizano's well that he gets his water from.
We had told our old house worker, Pascoa, that we wanted to see her.
So we stopped by to see her and Riley, our old dog that now lives with her.

She wasn't there when we got there so we waited for her in her front yard.

It was about lunch time when we left so we headed to a restaurant overlooking the river.

It was very good!
In the time that we lived in Quelimane, we visited the village of Impuruni quite a bit.
We wanted to see my dad's old language teacher Cipriano and our old guard Moniz.

The Baptist Church of Impuruni
They got to see some of the instruments that they use here and not in Nampula.

Mary Beth played soccer with some of the kids.
Walking through the rice fields to Moniz's house.

This is the village well. There are many of these.
The Teague's even got to taste their first young coconut....all except Hannah. :)

That night we went to my dad's old language teacher João's house for dinner.

This is his family.

These are the oranges that were right off of their orange tree. They were so good.

Hugs,
Meg
