Having Some Fun -- By Meg

Our first few days in Johannesburg were so much fun!
Two other missionary families from Mozambique were there at the same time that we were.
So we took advantage of the malls and fun stuff!

We decided to go bowling one afternoon.
We had so much and the best part is that they have two little baby girls with us!!

Me and Kyleigh playing with the balls!
After we went bowling we went to a restaurant that has amazing burgers!

Traveling to South Africa -- By Meg

On Saturday Dec, 21 we loaded up in a taxi and headed for the airport.
Our plane was to leave at 2:05pm.
It was so exciting for us to fly because we hadn't flown anywhere in almost 2 years!

This was our little taxi.
Waiting for everything to be put in/on the car.
Squeezed in the back seat.
The view is always beautiful at the airport.
Having a snack and waiting for our plane to arrive.
After about 1 1/2 hours of waiting we finally took off!!!
Lilly was bouncing all over because she was so excited!
It was so great to get to sit and do nothing for 2 1/2 hours!!

Mozambican mountains are still amazing from the air!!
For dinner that night we had some amazing food!!!
And we also went to McDonalds for some yummy ice cream!!

Hugs,
Meg

My Saturday Group -- By Meg

Last week I had a great week teaching my sweet group of kids.
I have come to love these kids so much!
We had about 20 kids this past week.
I pray that they will continue to come and learn about their Savior.
Emma and Lilly came with me this time.

When we first arrived there were about 3 kids waiting on me.
But they came in as we started singing and playing.

When I first started teaching this group, Davi was very timid and would cry the whole time.
Now he will will sing with me and he loves to play with the parachute.
We learned about the birth of Christ.
We colored angels to teach us that the angels told the shepherds
about the new King that was born.

This is sweet Joya. She is always full of energy!
Joya is Rosalina's granddaughter.
My sweet girls...and boy!
Eunice, Sefa, Rute, and Davi
Sara is very special to me!
My whole group!! I love them so much!!!
Hopefully we will get to spend many more years together!!!

Hugs,
Meg

Thanksgiving

This year two special IMB families spend the week of Thanksgiving with us.

We had a wonderful time celebrating with them

We prepared our Thanksgiving meal all day Thursday then,
we ate the big meal that afternoon.

We were very thankful to have our house helper wash the dishes for us!

All the girls who prepared the meal!
A feast!!

The deserts!!
Lilly and Amanda made the Turkey cake.
Mom and some helpers made the two pies.
Everything was so good!
My grandmother sent us Thanksgiving plates, napkins, and a table cloth!
Thanks so much Grandma!

The Smith family.
Even Ode got a special plate!

After we ate, we had a very fun game of minute-to-win-it!!!

Look at Emma's face!

We had some much fun with these guys!!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and we are
very thankful for each one of you!

Love,
The McDaniel Family
