Coalane Church Dedication

Last Sunday was a great day for our church in Coalane.

Technically it is not a church yet. It is still a "mission". There is process to becoming a Baptist Church here. One step is that you have a physical building for the people to gather for worship and it needs to be a "permanent" structure. That is the reason that for many Saturdays over the past 6 months, church members have been working to get the mud on the building to make it more of a permanent structure.

Sunday was a day set aside to dedicate the building as a house of worship to the Lord. Other Baptist Churches from other communities were invited to come and join in this day of celebration.

Sweetness!
More sweetness!
April and Sheldon
A group of ladies sharing a song with us
A group from Coalane and Temane presenting a song/dance
It got REALLY hot inside the church so I sent the kids outside.
Eliana got a little rest on Sheldon's back.
Lilly and a friend...
watching from the doorway
After around 4 hours of worship, preaching, and prayer
we left and all went down to a church member's house for lunch.
Some women from the church had been cooking all morning for everyone.

So ready to go home after lunch....but being troopers!
After all the adults were fed, they gave big plates of rice to the kids.
