Sunday in Temane -- By Meg

Today we went to Temane for Church. It was SO wonderful!
They were so enthusiastic about worshiping God.  They sang and sang!
Next week we will be in Nampula and hearing a totally different tribal language.
In Quelimane and surrounding areas they speak Chuabo
and in the Nampula area they speak Makua.

The Temane group and Us.
Most of the people that we have grown to love!
Putting a tarp up so the sun isn't so bad.
Waiting to start.
Worshiping the Lord!
This little girl is a story in herself. She is the one that you usually see that has the biggest eyes ever. She is usually very quite and shy but today for some reason she was CRAZY! She was all over us and she was all up in the front where we were. The Thursday before we gave out some bags of little things (clothes, toys, etc.) and the church decorated the front table with these little indians. She got a hold of them and played and played then she decided to come over and eat my  skirt....well chew on it. But I eventually get her mouth off of my skirt. It was an adventure in itself.
In culture guest do not walk away with out something.
So you will normally get something when you move away.
Mom got a Capulana and a head wrap.
They tied it on for her.....OH MY! It was very funny!
I don't think she had much experience tying it on someone else's head...
Our chicken and some other little gifts that they gave us. Notice L's face! So funny!
The full attire!
They tie on their skirts very high, but we really don't do it that high.
Sweet thing!
Our family.
We will always have a special place in our heart for this new church that we were blessed to know and love! Pray for Paizano's strong leadership and for the new Christians to grow in their relationship with Jesus!

Hugs,
Meg
